LOMPOC - Lompoc Police are looking for a man who has been hanging around elementary schools, approaching young children.
There have been at least two incidents involving a man near La Canada and Fillmore Elementary Schools.
Police describe his van as being dark brown with brown stripes on the side panels, a black roof and possibly a spare tire on the back with a cover showing the letter "E".
It was last seen two weekends ago near Fillmore Elementary School.
Police say the driver was seen following a child in the area.
"It's likely that tips will come from the public that will help us in apprehending this guy out there annoying these young children," says Sergeant Danny Rios of the Lompoc Police Department.
Officers are asking parents to be on the lookout for the suspicious van and call police if they see anything.
