LOS ALAMOS - Family, friends and members of the community gathered today to say goodbye to Nancy Simmons. The Santa Maria High School Health Technician died on Satuday, October 24th in a motorcycle accident just north of Santa Maria.
Hundreds gathered at the Los Alamos Park today to remeber Simmons. There were flowers, pictures and memorials remembering the good times. Speeches were somber, but there was laughter at time.
The event was capped off by a moving speech by Nancy's husband, Ben.
"The lord took Nancy very quickly," he said " she did not suffer at all."
Nancy Simmons is survived by her husband Ben and three children. She was 51-years-old.
